They didn't like boxes and square shapes. Around the mid-70s there was a lot going on in the Kootenays when it came to freedom of expression. I am the fruit of those expressions :) I have happily enjoyed my life with many different folks living their own lives within my walls. Some families, some retired folks, and some young folks. I have lived a full life, I still have life in me but these days I need a bit of help. When I was fresh and new I had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. They're still here but they need some work and love to bring me back so I can function properly again. The circular staircases lead you from the entry to the main living floor and then another set to take you to my loft. That was a nice space that some of my people enjoyed relaxing in. Some of my skylights are handcrafted around my dome shape, you can tell once upon a time when the glass was sparkling and there were no leaks that the light shining in would have soothed any grey day. I know I'm a project but maybe you can see how i used to be. I am also tired so if you don't want to spend the time to bring me back to my younger self, that's okay with me too. The ground that I have stood on all these years is wonderful. A small woodsy area that is cozy and who knows what ideas you'll come up with to build new here. Ahh, the stories I could tell... |
